Dr. Ludmilla Oigenblick
Executive Director

Emigrated from Moscow to Israel in 1991.
Received PhD in Sociology from Moscow State University.
From 1992 to 2000, Dr. Oigenblick has worked as a fellow researcher at the Technion - the Israel Institute of Technology, and published a wide range of articles in European and American scientific journals on immigration issues.
In 1999, together with other members of mixed families who immigrated from the former Soviet Union, Dr. Oigenblick founded The Association for the Rights of Mixed Families, and since then serves as an executive director.
She develops and runs a wide range of programs for mixed families on Jewish identity and human rights, and provides lobbying activities and campaigns directed at targeted immigrant population.


Nitzan Hochner
Media and Lobbying Coordinator

An Israeli-born citizen, L.L.B, University of Haifa (2007).

Nitzan joined AMF on feb. 2008 as a Media and Lobbying coordinator in order to raise the awareness of the Israeli public and decision makers to the problems that immigrant mixed families face. Since then, Nitzan ensures wide coverage in the Israeli media on mixed families' issues and AMF activities, and provides lobbying services aimed to promote human rights and special needs of intermarried couples. Nitzan is the moderator of AMF English and Hebrew web sites, which are targeted to the Israeli public and the international community..


Yona Triestman
Resource Development

Yona made aliya from New York in 1996. After completing a BA in Political Science and an honors thesis at Rutgers University, he became an entrepreneur in the US and Israel. He became a social entrepreneur specializing in public relations and resource development for non-profit organizations which focus on Zionism, immigration and interfaith issues. His professional experience enhances AMF’s ability to provide solutions for interfaith families In Israel and The Diaspora.

 

Lilia Itskov
Projects Manager and Haifa branch coordinator

Emigrated from Irkutsk to Israel in 1999.
Received B.A. degree in History from Irkutsk State University. Her Graduate Student Paper was focused on ethnic self-identification of descendants of intermarried couples in modern Russia.
In Israel Lilia published several essays and articles in the Russian-language newspapers. She began working with AMF in 2002 as a project manager of the programs for immigrant children and as an author of numerous articles about AMF activities. Nowadays Lilia assists a large number of mixed families' members from Haifa district on the issue of civil status, and coordinates their efforts with the Ministry of Interior and legal aid services.



Maya Gershgorin
Haifa Branch Consultant

Emmigrated from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine to Israel in 1990.
Since 1992, Mrs. Gershgorin has worked at the Haifa Municipality Absorption Department, and was engaged in different voluntary activities. Since 2003, Mrs. Gershgorin works with AMF, providing consultation and technical assistance to immigrant families on civil status and national insurance issues.


Tatyana Probka
Karmiel Branch Coordinator

Mrs. Probka emigrated from Lipetsk, Ukraine to Israel in 1996.
She was an experienced Trade Technician.
With her arrival to Israel Tatyana has settled in the city of Karmiel, which is located in the northern district of Israel and never abandoned it since. During the Second Lebanon War (in the summer of 2006), while many residents have left the city, seeking refuge in more secure places - Tatyana stayed in Karmiel and did her best to support her community.
Tatyana is affiliated with AMF since 2001, and became a founder of the Karmiel Branch. She is responsible for many activities for mixed families' members conducted by AMF, which include providing personal assistant services to immigrants from the FSU, holding educational activities for teenagers, and conducting seminars and workshops on the issues of Jewish traditions, Hebrew learning and raising gender awareness.


Irina Falchenko
Jerusalem Branch Coordinator

Mrs. Falchenko emigrated from Kharkov, Ukraine in 1990.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Irina founded the Jerusalem branch of the AMF in 2003. She runs programs on Jewish identity and conversion courses for mixed families.


Luba Kirsanov
Be'er Sheva Branch Coordinator

Mrs. Kirsanov emigrated from Kuibyshev, Russia in 1997.
She received a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Luba has founded the Be'er Sheva branch of AMF in 2000. Since then, hundreds of mixed families from the southern district of Israel received legal and social aid from AMF's Be'er Sheva branch, and many obtained their Israeli civil status due to Luba's support.
